Camden and I camped at Carolina Beach last night and had a blast. He swam and surfed despite it only being April.
I love that the kids do this assignment every year.
With four kids in soccer right now, we spend a lot of time at the field. Sometimes we get lucky though. This season, Camden and Ember have practice at the same time at opposite ends of the same field.

I had a great time chaperoning Ember’s field trip to Old Salem, a restored Moravian community and living museum in Winston-Salem.
Camden, Sierra, and I will be hiking 50 miles of the Appalachian Trail this summer. We did our first practice hike today, carrying light packs six miles in Umstead Park. We had so much fun and I was very impressed by how well they hiked.
